Martyn Lewis CBE presents the 2013 Beacon Awards

Martyn Lewis CBE presents the 2013 Beacon Awards

  • The first generation of YP Syndicate founders were awarded the prestigious Beacon Award for City Philanthropy, sponsored by JP Morgan, alongside Sir Vernon Ellis and JK Rowling.
  • We’ve been papped… sort of. A feature in the Evening Standard described how YP Syndicates are investing in a range of transformational programmes in London.
  • Michael and Adam (YP’s co-founders) have been invited by David Blunkett MP to present to Parliament as part of the Growing Giving inquiry on 10 July, exploring how the UK can narrow the generational gap in giving and encourage greater giving at work. We’ll be tweeting throughout so follow us @Y_Philanthropy – unless we get our phones confiscated…

Young Philanthropy Syndicates

The Young Philanthropy Syndicate Platform

The Young Philanthropy Syndicate Platform

In case you’ve forgotten (or we haven’t got hold of you yet), the YP Syndicate platform enables groups of young professionals to join together and invest their money, time and skills in niche charity projects, with the matched funding of a senior philanthropist and their employer.

It’s a simple, fun and powerful way to maximise your giving and make an impact.

Check out our Facebook Fan Page for the profiles of phenomenal YP Syndicates up and running at Deloitte, PwC, KPMG, E&Y, Accenture, and the Cabinet Office.

We’re on the lookout for great people wanting to set-up new YP chapters at employers like RBS, HSBC, Tesco, Grant Thornton, Morgan Stanley, UBS, IBM, BDO, BT, Lloyds Banking Group, Unilever, M&S, Freshfields, P&G, Linklaters, Barclays, Slaughter & May, and Allen & Overy.

Please help us to spread the love by recommending people @Y_Philanthropy or by emailingyp@youngphilanthropy.org.uk. We haven’t got our incentive programme up and running yet – instead you’ll have to make do with that warm fuzzy feeling when you help get an awesome new Syndicate off the ground that ends up changing peoples’ lives.
